Privacy Notice

What this notice covers

This notice applies to Archetype Signal, including your account, birth-profile setup, Business Blueprint, personalized signals, Signal Chat, subscriptions, and optional Blueprint sharing. It does not cover the privacy practices of third-party websites or services, including Stripe and OpenAI.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information created while you use the service:

• Account information: your email address, password hash, account identifier, and email-confirmation status.
• Birth-profile information: your birth date, birth time when provided, birthplace, time zone, and the coordinates needed to calculate your chart.
• Generated information: your natal-chart data, archetype, Business Blueprint, daily, weekly, and monthly signals, and related usage records.
• Signal Chat information: the questions you submit, generated answers, model and token-usage records, and timestamps.
• Billing information: subscription status and Stripe customer, subscription, price, and billing-period identifiers. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
• Support and feedback: messages you submit through Suggest a Feature or other support channels.
• Security information: IP address, browser user-agent, and authentication events used to secure accounts, investigate abuse, and apply rate limits.

How we use information

We use this information to create and secure your account; calculate your chart and personalized content; provide Signal Chat; process and administer subscriptions; respond to feedback; prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; and maintain and improve the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

AI processing and Signal Chat

Signal Chat is available to paid subscribers. When you submit a Signal Chat question, we send that question and a limited set of chart-derived context to OpenAI solely to generate a personalized response. This context may include your archetype, selected natal-chart placements and aspects, and prior Signal Chat exchanges needed for continuity. We do not send your account password, payment-card information, or raw birth date, birth time, birthplace, or coordinates for this feature.

OpenAI API data is not used to train or improve OpenAI models by default. OpenAI may, however, retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. We set store: false on Signal Chat requests, so we do not ask the OpenAI Responses API to retain application state. Please do not include confidential business information or sensitive personal information in Signal Chat questions.

Service providers and disclosures

We use carefully selected providers to operate the service: Stripe for subscription payments and billing management, Resend for account email, OpenAI for Signal Chat and certain generated signal content, and infrastructure providers that host the application and database. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Public Blueprint links

Blueprint sharing is optional. If you enable a share link, anyone with that link can view the Blueprint sections you choose to share. Shared Blueprints do not display your email, account identifier, birth date, birth time, birthplace, coordinates, or other account details. A knowledgeable viewer may be able to estimate information about a chart from chart content, so only share a Blueprint when you are comfortable doing so. You can disable a share link at any time.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and service information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can permanently delete your account from the Account page. Deletion cancels active Stripe billing and removes the account and associated profile, chart, signal, Signal Chat, feedback, and subscription records from our active application database. We retain a limited deletion audit record, including billing identifiers and security information, where needed for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including authenticated API access, password hashing, access controls, rate limits, and encrypted connections in production. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a unique password and keep your devices and account credentials secure.

Your choices and rights

You can review and update account and birth-profile information in the service, control optional Blueprint sharing, manage subscription billing through Stripe, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a privacy request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Children

Archetype Signal is not intended for children. Do not create an account or provide personal information if you are under the age at which you can legally consent to these services in your country.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the service or applicable law changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email.
